Nominate or apply

Put a paper forward.

Authors can apply and anyone can nominate. We look at main-track papers accepted at the venues we follow, and occasionally at workshop papers with unusual results.

Sending opens your email app with the details filled in. Nominations are read by the editors; we reply within three weeks. There is no fee, and no fee will ever be requested.

What helps

  • A paper that is accepted, not under review
  • Released code or data, where the work allows it
  • A result you can explain to an informed non-specialist in two minutes
  • Honesty about what did not work

What does not

  • Payment or sponsorship of any kind (it disqualifies the nomination)
  • Press releases instead of the paper
  • Nominating more than two papers from the same group in a season
