MTRI is Magellan Global’s research institute, with offices in Tokyo (Meguro) and Singapore (One-north). Its work spans natural-language processing and information retrieval, agentic and multimodal AI, and document automation for legal and professional services.
What MTRI does for Meridian
- Reads shortlisted papers and scores them for substance
- Prepares technical questions with the host
- Checks that every finding cited in an episode is supported by the paper
- Hosts Singapore Sessions seminars at its One-north office
- Contributes to Venue Reports
What MTRI does not do
- Choose guests on its own: the editors decide
- Favour its own papers: MTRI authors appear at most once in twelve episodes, disclosed
- Use guests’ unpublished work: preparation uses published papers only
